The Super Duty lineup is built across F-250, F-350, and F-450 chassis classes. The F-250 is the single rear wheel workhorse for daily towing and payload duty. The F-350 is offered in single rear wheel and dual rear wheel configurations and steps up payload and towing meaningfully. The F-450 is dual rear wheel only and sits at the top for maximum conventional and gooseneck towing capacity. Every trim is built on a fully boxed high-strength steel frame with a high-strength military-grade aluminum alloy body, and the TorqShift® 10-speed automatic transmission is standard across the entire lineup. When configured with the 6.7L HO Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel producing 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque, the F-450 delivers up to approximately 40,000 lbs of gooseneck towing capacity.
Four-Engine Powertrain Lineup
Engine choices span gas and diesel platforms tuned for different work profiles. The 6.8L V8 gas engine produces 405 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque and is standard on the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. The 7.3L V8 gas engine produces 430 horsepower and 485 lb-ft of torque and is standard on the King Ranch and Platinum, available on lower trims. For diesel buyers, the 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel produces 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, with the High Output variant pushing output to 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft. Diesel engines feature a Variable Geometry Turbocharger with charge air cooler and compacted graphite iron block construction. All four engines pair with the TorqShift® 10-speed automatic.

The Super Duty pairs heavy-duty hardware with technology that makes towing manageable. Available Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ uses a knob-controlled steering input that lets the driver guide a trailer in reverse with the truck handling steering corrections.
