2026 Ford F-150 Trim Guide: XL to Platinum

Choose the 2026 Ford F-150 XL for a utility-focused cabin or STX for appearance upgrades and front seats separated by a center console. XLT offers a choice of comfort and driver-assistance upgrades. Lariat makes several comfort features standard, while King Ranch and Platinum offer different upper-trim designs rather than consecutive steps up the same equipment ladder.

Start with XLT 301A for a power driver's seat or Lariat for ventilated front seats. We recommend choosing your must-have features first, then comparing the equipment groups and packages that include them.

2026 F-150 Trim Comparison

A 2026 F-150 trim establishes the baseline equipment. An equipment group is Ford's coded bundle of features within that trim. Packages have their own codes and availability. Higher groups can replace baseline equipment rather than simply add to it.

All six trims include SYNC 4 with a 12-inch center display. The instrument-cluster screen is a separate display behind the steering wheel.

The table below compares selected starting equipment. Higher groups and packages can change these features, including XLT upholstery.

XL and STX: Two Ways to Start

The F-150 XL is the only one of these six trims available with a Regular Cab or an 8-foot box. It also suits buyers who prefer simple seating and vinyl flooring.

XL 103A adds work surfaces, a rear defroster and privacy glass. It also includes painted-aluminum wheels, chrome bumpers and LED fog lamps.

STX emphasizes appearance and uses a center console in place of the split bench's middle front seat. Sport-cloth upholstery and carpet further distinguish its cabin from XL.

STX 200B is the base group. The 200A group adds a 12-inch instrument-cluster screen, LED fog/cornering lamps and 20-inch dark-gray wheels.

The separate STX 201A group includes the cluster and lighting upgrades, plus off-road shocks and skid plates. Its bumper, wheel and tire equipment differs from the base STX shown in the table.

XLT: 301A vs. 302A and 303A

The F-150 XLT starts with the 300A base group. Higher groups expand its comfort and driver-assistance features, with a choice of front-seat layouts.

XLT 301A adds an 8-way power driver's seat, a wrapped steering wheel and dual-zone automatic climate control. Choose it for easier seat adjustment and separate temperature settings.

XLT 302A and 303A include Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 with adaptive cruise, lane centering, a 360-degree camera and trailer assists. Both groups also include heated front seats, push-button start and a power-sliding rear window.

Both groups retain the wrapped steering wheel and dual-zone climate control, with more driver-seat adjustment and a power-adjustable front passenger seat. The 302A baseline uses cloth 40/20/40 split-bench seating. The 303A baseline uses cloth 40/console/40 seating, replacing the middle front seat with a center console.

XLT 303A also includes B&O 8-speaker audio, the XLT Chrome Appearance Package, power-adjustable pedals and Mobile Office. In this configuration, Mobile Office includes a console work surface, lockable rear storage and wireless charging.

BlueCruise provides hands-free driver assistance on designated highways. It is not self-driving: you must keep watching the road and be ready to take over. Continued use beyond an included trial or plan requires paid access. Buyers can also select a one-time-purchase option when ordering.

On XLT, BlueCruise hardware is optional only on 302A and 303A and must be selected when ordering. An XLT ordered without that hardware cannot have BlueCruise enabled later. Confirm the truck has the hardware before choosing it for BlueCruise.

Lariat: More Comfort as Standard

The F-150 Lariat is available only as a SuperCrew, starting with the 500A base group. Standard ventilated front seats and driver memory distinguish it from an XLT equipped with heated front seats.

Along with standard Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, Lariat includes BlueCruise equipment with a 90-day trial.

Lariat 501A and 502A include 20-inch chrome-like wheels, power-adjustable pedals with memory, a power-sliding rear window and an anodized step bar.

Lariat 502A adds heated rear seats, ambient lighting and Mobile Office, which includes a console work surface, lockable rear storage and wireless charging. It also replaces the standard audio system with B&O Unleashed 14-speaker audio.

King Ranch vs. Platinum

The F-150 King Ranch and Platinum build on Lariat equipment with different styling and equipment groups.

King Ranch starts with the 600A base group and the trim's two-tone design, bronze-accented chrome and genuine wood interior accents. The 601A group includes multicontour Active Motion leather bucket seats with a massage function, power-deployable running boards and B&O Unleashed 14-speaker audio.

Platinum pairs its black exterior accents and smoked-chrome exhaust with body-color bumpers, handles and mirror caps in its base configuration.

Platinum 700A is the base group. The 701A group includes power-deployable running boards and multicontour Active Motion massage seats. The 702A group includes a head-up display and B&O Unleashed 14-speaker audio.

Platinum 703A requires PowerBoost, Ford's 3.5L full-hybrid V6 powertrain. It includes quilted leather, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, 22-inch wheels and Platinum Plus themes.

King Ranch and Platinum include Tow/Haul, Bed Utility and Mobile Office as standard packages. Their BlueCruise access plan covers 1 year plus 90 days. Tow/Haul includes an integrated trailer brake controller and an engine-matched electronic-locking rear axle. The package does not establish the truck's towing capacity.
